“Okayish. I’ve been sick all week and our oldest has been sick too. But I can breathe today and he went to school today. It’s sunny and I feel hopeful I’ll be better soon!” — Jenna Hatfield

“I’m scared. Okay, terrified. But I feel a lot better now that I’ve done 20 miles. I’m exhausted from 28 weeks of continuous training – I’m using Hal Higdon’s 30 week plan for beginners. That’s a LONG time. But more than either of those I feel excited, hopeful, and as ready as I’m going to be. Bring it on, 26.2!” — Lindsay Meeker

The behind-the-scenes story of this photo captures how JD Pooley is feeling: “This is my good friend Joe Boyle, left, finishing a two mile run while being greeted by author Christopher McDougall. McDougall is the author of the best selling book Born to Run. Joe is battling cancer and McDougall’s book was an inspiration for him while receiving treatment. Running brings us together in so many ways.”

“We finished our last 20 mile training run this past Saturday. It’s a great feeling to see how far we have come. I would not be this far without the help of the best training buddies @zlefty22 & @impulsebyers . We have pushed each other to greater potential with each run. ” — James Craig
