Tip 11: Cheer on the athletes on the NEW self-guided bicycle tour!

As we put the final preparations in place for this year’s race, we’ll be sharing “26 Tips for 26.2 Miles” to make sure you’re ready to go on race day. Click here to read them all, or follow along on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.

All the fun isn’t just for our Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon & 1/2 Marathon athletes. This year provides more spectator viewing opportunities than ever, that’s why our Tip #11 features the all-new self-guided bicycle tour!

Tip 11 - Bicycle

If you’re feeling energetic and have a bike (for those of you who don’t, COGO, Columbus’s bike sharing program is always an option), follow our self-guided bicycle tour to several cheer spots along the course. We developed a bike route to follow that will let you visit key spots while not interfering with or being inconvenienced by the race.

Enjoy a treat and coffee (while supplies last!) at Angry Baker in Olde Town East, Livingston Avenue United Methodist Church at the edge of German Village and Katalina’s Café in Harrison West. Additionally, Roll: Bike Shop will have a check-in spot at mile 18, at Carmack Rd. and the Bike Path, to look over your bike and Yay Bikes will offer free, secure bike parking at the Start/Finish.
