As we put the final preparations in place for this year’s race, we’re sharing “26 Tips for 26.2 Miles” to make sure you’re ready to go on race day. Click here to read them all, or follow along on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
What is your favorite quote about music? This one from Bob Marley seems fitting for people getting ready to experience 13.1 or 26.2 miles on foot.
“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.”
The 2015 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon & ½ Marathon takes having fun seriously. We also want to do everything we can to keep you going. This year, there will be more than 100 live bands, entertainers and radio stations lining the course to keep the party going. We will have DJs and bands playing everything from country to pop to rock. It’s our goal for music to line every inch of the course. Why? As Plato once said:
“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”
Or as our Race Director Darris Blackford recently learned in a marathon of his own:
“Music kept my mind off of thinking how badly I was feeling!”
Athletes and spectators can find a complete list of entertainers and where they’ll each be performing right here.
